Monier-Williams dictionary from Cologne Sanskrit Lexicon
English Translation by Griffith

1.145.2

They ask of him: not all learn by their questioning what he, the Sage, hath grasped, as 'twere, with his own mind. Forgetting not the former nor the later word, he goeth on, not careless, in his mental power.

Oldenberg's translation

1.145.2

They ask him. He himself 1 does not ask in turn what he, the wise one, has grasped by his own mind alone 2. He does not forget the first word nor another word. Unconfused he adheres to his own power of mind.
